General Description
ECI
offers filter coatings specifically designed for direct
application onto fiber ends, ferrules, and GRIN rod lenses.
Our EP process allows us to deposit thin film designs
that were previously available only on glass because
of temperature or durability concerns. This low temperature
coating procedure deposits the dielectric materials with
tremendous energy resulting in extremely dense and stable
filter designs. These designs are all-dielectric, non-absorbing
and exhibit excellent environmental durability even under
severe humidity conditions.
A
wide variety of LWP (longwave pass) and SWP (shortwave
pass) designs are available. Illustrated at right are
two typical designs. Any design can be modified for a
specific angle of incidence and incident medium. We offer
free in-house design services to create a coating for
your exact spectral requirements.
Coatings may also be deposited onto 0.10 to 0.5mm thick glass
and diced to your specific size requirements. A typical
filter may be 1.0mm square by 0.2 mm thick. Contact one
