General Description
ECI
offers several different thin film designs specifically
for use as a solderable coating for glass substrates. These
films are deposited at ambient temperature which makes
them suitable for use on fiber ends and other temperature
sensitive parts.
Fibers
The
perimeter of a glass fiber can be coated in preparation
for soldering into a hermetic termination package. The
fiber is typically received with the jacket pulled back.
ECI will clean, mount and coat your fibers in the desired
area. We offer a multi-layer metal deposition that is suitable
for a low temperature soldering process.
Windows
ECI
#415 can also be deposited in a frame pattern around a
window that is to be soldered onto a metal package. These
films have demonstrated excellent adhesion to their glass
substrates and have survived destructive lift-off testing.
Various anti-reflection coatings are available to improve
the transmission and reduce the reflection losses of the
window.
