General Description
A
variety of front and back surface reflective coatings designed
specifically for plastic substrate materials are available.
These films exhibit excellent environmental properties
and pass the durability requirements of MIL-M-13508 on
most plastics. These optical coatings are suitable for
injection-molded optics (including multi-faceted polygons),
sheet materials and polished plastic optical components.
ECI
#800P is an overcoated Aluminum design suitable for
a broad range of applications. This design is typically
used to reflect light over a wide wavelength range such
as the white light region. Reflectivity typically exceeds
85% in the visible region.
ECI
#801P is a special overcoated Aluminum design for
UV and visible light use. This coating may be used in
sensor applications where there is energy to be reflected
in the 200 to 700 nm range. The average reflectivity
is normally 85%.
ECI
#802P is an Enhanced Aluminum design used in applications
where standard overcoated Aluminum does not provide the
necessary reflection. This design boosts the first surface
reflection two to three percent over standard Aluminum.
ECI
#806P is an Enhanced Gold mirror design commonly
used for applications that demand excellent environmental
stability and high reflection in the near infrared and
infrared wavelength region. Illustrated at right is a
design peaked for use with a 675nm laser diode.
