ECI deposits many types of metal mirrors including enhanced Aluminum, enhanced Gold and overcoated Silver for plastic, glass and metal optics.
Evaporated Coatings, Inc. manufactures highly reflective dielectric mirror coatings for applications from the Ultraviolet to the Infrared wavelengths. ECI’s quality dielectric mirrors are designed to meet demanding durability and environmental requirements. Rejection levels are typically greater than 99%. ECI’s dielectric mirrors are deposited to customer specifications including: substrate material, wavelength region, angle of incidence, % reflection, polarization requirements and incident medium. Dielectric mirror coatings are available with up to four reflection bands.

ECI also manufactures Laser Dielectric Mirrors for high power applications that require coatings with significant laser damage thresholds. ECI’s laser dielectric mirror coatings are designed for applications that require stability @ 100% humidity, little or no coating shift with temperature, and high damage threshold requirements. These designs provide reflectance up to 99.98% for applications from the visible to near infrared wavelengths.

ECI’s Metal and Dielectric Mirror coatings meet the environmental and durability requirements of MIL-M-13508C and MIL-C-48497 respectively. Dielectric mirror coatings on glass substrates meet the environmental and durability requirements of MIL-F-48616.

Polymer Substrates

ECI’s low-temperature dielectric mirror designs are especially designed for direct deposition onto injection molded polymer optics, cast or sheet Acrylic and Polycarbonate, Zeonex®, Ultem, Mylar, Kapton and other temperature sensitive optical materials.
Glass Substrates
All dielectric multilayer designs for laser or broadband applications where the highest possible reflection and low absorption is required. Custom designs are available to meet your specific reflection, angle of incidence and polarization requirements.
Infrared Optical Materials
ECI's IR Dielectric Mirrors are designed for applications that require excellent durability and environmental stability. Reflection levels are typically greater than 99%. ECI's custom coatings are designed to your specific requirements including, percent reflection, angle of incidence and bandwidth.
FiberOptic Components

ECI manufactures low-temperature dielectric mirror coating designs for deposition directly onto fiber ends, GRIN rod lenses, laser diodes, laser bars and other temperature sensitive components. Custom designs are available to meet specific wavelength and reflectivity requirements.

Laser Dielectric Mirrors

ECI's laser dielectric mirror coatings are designed for applications that require stability @ 100% humidity, little or no coating shift with temperature, and high damage threshold requirements. These designs provide reflectance up to 99.98% for applications from the visible to near infrared wavelengths.
