IR Metal Mirror Coatings
ECI deposits protected and enhanced metal mirror coatings on various IR optical materials. Coatings are designed for first or second surface reflection, angle of incidence and incident medium. ECI's multilayer enhanced metal mirror coatings provide up to 99% reflectance for narrow band wavelength applications.
Standard and custom coatings are available for deposition onto Infrared Optical Materials including: Silicon, Germanium, Zinc Selenide, Zinc Sulfide, CaF2, BaF2, Gallium Arsenide, Sapphire, IR Fused Silica and other IR materials.
These metal mirror coatings meet the durability and environmental requirements of MIL-M-13508C.

ECI continues to develop and manufacture custom metal mirror coatings that exceed today’s industry standards. ECI’s low temperature Enhanced Metal Mirror coating for IR optical materials meets the durability and environmental requirements of
MIL-M-13508C. The average reflectance for this coating is ≥ 99% @ 2.25 – 4.0 microns
at 45° angle of incidence.
