Evaporated Coatings, Inc. manufactures metal mirror coatings for applications from the UV to Infrared spectrum. Designs include protected and enhanced Gold and Aluminum, overcoated Silver and custom multilayer enhancements. Designs are available for deposition on a variety of optical materials including: glass, polymers, fiberoptic components, metal, semiconductors, custom optics, and Infrared optical materials. Coatings are designed for first or second surface reflection, wavelength region, angle of incidence and incident medium.
ECI's multilayer enhanced metal mirror coatings provide up to 99% reflectance for narrow band wavelength applications.
Standard and custom coatings are available including customer specified metal layer thicknesses. ECI has the capability to remove your old mirror coating or in some cases deposit the new mirror coating on top of an existing coating.
ECI's Metal Mirror coatings meet the environmental and durability requirements of MIL-M-13508C.
Polymer Substrates
ECI's low-temperature protected and enhanced metal mirror coatings are especially designed for deposition onto injection molded polymer optics, cast or sheet Acrylic and Polycarbonate, Zeonex®, Mylar, Ultem, Kapton and other temperature sensitive substrate materials.
Glass and Metal Substrates
ECI deposits protected and enhanced metal mirror coatings. Designs include Al, Au and Ag. Coatings are designed for first or second surface reflection, wavelength region, angle of incidence and incident medium.
Infrared Optical Materials
ECI's IR Metal Mirrors are available for deposition onto various IR optical materials. Metal mirror coatings meet the durability and environmental requirements of MIL-C-48497.
FiberOptic Components
ECI manufactures low-temperature mirror coating designs for deposition directly onto fiber ends, GRIN rod lenses, laser diodes, laser bars and other temperature sensitive components. Custom designs are available to meet specific wavelength and reflectivity requirements.
